My wife and I watched the entire 3 hours of the MLB Home Run Derby tonight.  It was a pretty anti-climactic event as the guy who was the story ended up not winning because he was flat out worn out by his performance in reaching the final round.  Josh Hamilton hit 28 home runs in the first round, a record of course.  The next closest was 8.  He didn’t even have to hit in round 2 but he hit a few and then called it quits after hitting 4.  He failed to win the finals as he was just too tired.  However, it was a great show for a player who previously in life succumbed to drug and alcohol addiction and was out of baseball for 2+ years.  He has since overcome his addictions and has returned to the league and is one of the most promising young talents in the game.  It’s great to see people turn their life around and inspire others with their story.
