Boring Ball

Tried watching the All-Star game tonight and couldn’t make it through.  It’s still going on, tied and going to extra innings.  Something better happen or we’re going to end up with some retarded tie All-Star game like we had a few years ago.  Anyway, like the title says, the game was extremely boring for the 7+ innnigs I watched.  Painful.  The pitchers of this game in 2 or 1 inning stints are just so much better than the hitters in the league.  They are just overmatched in my opinion.  Sure, players get hits here and there but even with an All-Star lineup, there aren’t any rallys put together to make the game exciting.  The Home Run Derby was great though.  I might have a couple movies to talk about in the next few days.  Nothing all that exciting, but some hopefully worth renting.

So, I decided to turn the game on in the bottom of the 10th inning and start watching again. Little did I know the game would go another 5 full innings before it was over. Wow, what a display of futility by the hitters as I had mentioned in the story above. FINALLY someone was able to score to win the game after almost 5 hours of baseball. I had not seen so many overmatched hitters in all my days of watching baseball and All-Star games. It was like every pitcher was Sandy Koufax or Bob Gibson out there. You can really tell who the real players are and who the players are who feed on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th starters of the league when the All-Star game comes around.
