Tuesday – Bowling as usual. I bowled a 235 game, we lost. The next 2 games, 189 and 179… we won… go figure. I had 20+ strikes and some stupid opens.

Wednesday – I got to see my sister, my niece, and my brand new niece Allie! We watched Bolt and we ate a great supper made by Morgan. We had a great night even though it was too short!

Thursday – Television night and was extremely tired.

Friday – Don’t Remember.

Saturday – Chris doctor appointment in the morning which turned out well. John and Emmi came over and we had BBQ and we played tons of Guitar Hero.

Sunday – Slept in, played hours upon hours of Guitar Hero.

That gets us to today. Nothing much happening outside of it snowing this morning… And here I thought it was supposed to be spring… Now where was all that global warming we’ve heard about? Oh, the Cardinals baseball season opened today and they played exactly like they did last year… swing at too many first pitches and they blew 2 save opportunities in 1 game. Horrible start.

The teams left in the tournament are: North Carolina (my favorite team), Connecticut, Villanova, and Michigan State. North Carolina plays Villanova and Michigan State plays Connecticut. I figure a Connecticut versus North Carolina final would be pretty exciting. I’m not a big fan of Michigan State or Villanova.

We rented a couple of movies over the weekend: Changeling and Australia. I watched Changeling and I have to tell you, I was surprised by how good the movie is. But, it had a feather in its hat… Clint Eastwood directed it. So, even though it had Angelina Jolie in it, it was still a very good movie and she acted well. I don’t understand why she devalues herself by doing such nonsense movies if she can actually act. Oh well, money rules. I didn’t watch Australia.

As the image suggests, Metallica is featured in their very own Guitar Hero video game. I’ve never played Guitar Hero, but I had to support my favorite band. I sold some stuff on Ebay to come up with some extra money and we plan on eating pretty skimpy this week so I was able to get the game. It’s really fun! I’ve officially become a Guitar Hero fan… but without Metallica, I would have never known.

Thursday night television was good even though all I watched was The Office and the results show of American Idol.

The weekend is almost here! Yesterday was one of the longest days of the year it seemed… whew, glad to get that one over with. Not a whole lot going on other than working, sleeping, eating, and growing older.

Might watch some movies this weekend, don’t know for sure though.

We got done early tonight as both teams had a player missing. I had games of 191, 167, and 146… I got tired and the lanes were dry, I just couldn’t keep up. The more mad I got, the worse I bowled. We lost 2 of the 3 games and only won 2 points. We fell out of first place after this evening.

But, the good news is I’m another week closer to my fun at the end of the year. I’m going to use my bowling balls for target practice, burn my shoes, and throw away my torn up ball carrier. There will be no going back or getting talked into bowling. The ammunition in the picture is what will be used against my gear.

Mizzou plays their next game Thursday night. Let’s hope they do well!

Mizzou squeaked out a win today in their 2nd round matchup. They are officially in the Sweet 16 now! I have found that the more I don’t watch them, the better they do so today, I tested my theory. Yes, dangerous I know. I started to watch the game, they immediately got down 6 to 2 so I shut the game off and did something else. Next time I looked at the game, they were up 11 at half. Nice, a 15 point turnaround.

But, I did something bad. I went and checked the game out before it was over and they were losing by a few points with only a few minutes left in the game. I quickly turned the channel in hopes that I didn’t affect the outcome of the game. I did some random stuff and then hoping the game was over, clicked back over. Whew, Mizzou was up 4 with a few seconds left. Nice! They won with some free throws in the last 10 seconds of the game.

It sucks not being able to watch them play, but that’s the way it goes it seems.

Spring is officially here and that means the grass is starting to grow… yay.

Day 1 – I got 14 of 16 / Day 2 – I got 10 of 16 / Day 3- I got 8 of 8

Tomorrow, I’ve already lost 2 games because of upsets so the best I can do is 6 of 8. Not too bad, but I’m sure there are quite a few people ahead of me. A couple of the overtime games went the wrong way for me. The best I can do is 14 of the Sweet 16 if things go my way tomorrow.

Mizzou plays tomorrow for a spot in the Sweet 16. Hopefully they will step up and win their game and continue their dramatic turnaround season.

Nothing much going on around here… I’m watching some Saturday Night Live and am totally disgusted with the show. I can’t believe this drivel is still on television. If Tina Fey hadn’t brought in her Sarah Palin character earlier this season, the year probably would have been a complete disaster from start to finish. They just are not funny anymore. When they try to be funny, it’s just not. In an effort to be edgy, they’ve lost their edge in my opinion. Craptastic show.

I’m excited. College Basketball has always been one of my favorite sports and the NCAA Tournament is the showcase of the best teams that come through the long season. I’m rooting for Mizzou, but I have my realistic expectations of them. I’m also rooting for my favorite college team of all time, North Carolina, but I’m also realistic about their chances because they have some serious injury issues.

I still think I’m going to with Pittsburgh to win it all even though I’m not sold on their team as a true champion. We will see.

No soccer tonight! For the first time in 11 weeks, I got to spend Wednesday evening at home with my wife and we watched Lost together, live and not recorded! We are getting ready to watch the results of American Idol… it’s on at the same time as Lost so we had to record it.

Even though my games weren’t spectacular, we managed to win the evening so it doesn’t matter to me what my individual scores are.

We are a day closer to the NCAA basketball tournament. I’m leaning on picking Pittsburgh as the champion. I think they are a tried and tested team and the other good teams have flaws or injured players that you can’t count on making it through the grueling tourney process.

I’m catching up on American Idol from this evening… recorded it while I was bowling. Not sure I’m going to like country week even though I like country music from time to time.

Really, a post? Well, I did write 2 articles in 2 days for Synaptic Domination so I did do something over the last few days. What I spent most of my time doing over the weekend in between watching hours upon hours of basketball, was playing my Playstation 3 and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Yeah, I know the game came out over a year ago, but I still enjoy shooting digital people online. It also makes me yell at my television which I think I’m pretty good at. In fact, I think I’ve honed that skill to the point that I’m a professional at it…

Mizzou won the Big 12 Championship in basketball over the weekend. It’s their first title in the Big 12 – they had several in the Big 8 though. Their turnaround season netted them a 3 seed in the NCAA tournament that starts this Thursday. I’m hoping they advance far because they have played their hearts out this year and have returned Mizzou basketball to the rightful place. Go Mizzou!

We rented a couple of movies over the weekend – Role Models and Rachel Getting Married. Role Models is your typical hilarious crude comedy with bad language. For some reason I’m entertained by those kinds of shows even though I know I probably should not like them so much. As for the other show, I didn’t watch it, but my wife did. Her recommendation is to never, ever rent it or watch it even if it’s free. If she says it’s bad, it has to be horrible. So, save your time and go get something else.

I seem to have forgotten how to make posts in other categories… I’ll try and fix that! Oh yeah, and I’ve found that I work for the weekend, do you?

Soccer was last night, our last game of the 10 game season… my first time ever playing soccer of any kind whatsoever. We played hard, but lost. We failed to win a game but we improved dramatically throughout the year. We represented ourselves well for a bunch of non-soccer players. I’m glad that it’s over, but it was great fun. Driving all the way to Pacific and back every Wednesday gets a bit old and the start times don’t make for much an evening at home.

So, I’m nearing the end of bowling and soccer is now over. I’ll be getting some more of my home time back soon! We have a movie rented that we haven’t watched yet, In the Electric Mist. It looks good so hopefully it will be.

Tomorrow is Friday, thank goodness!

Mizzou looks like they are going to win their Big 12 tourney game this evening. That’s another good thing.
