Thursday night television was good even though all I watched was The Office and the results show of American Idol.

The weekend is almost here!  Yesterday was one of the longest days of the year it seemed… whew, glad to get that one over with.  Not a whole lot going on other than working, sleeping, eating, and growing older.

Might watch some movies this weekend, don’t know for sure though.

Tuesday night bowling night – We won 2 games and lost 1 and the total pin count for a total of 4 points.  We are in first place in the 3rd season with only 8 weeks left to go.  I had games of 169, 207, and 161.  My first 2 games were decent as I only had 3 opens… all splits.  My last game went south as my shoulder was hurting really badly.  I brought the score up to at least a respectable one by getting some lucky strikes in the end, but it wasn’t enough to win the game for the team.

Wednesday night soccer night – We lost 7 to 6 to the top team in our league.  We were ahead quite a bit in the game and we were tied late and a very unsportmanslike goal by the other team led to our loss.  The goal was scored as a result of their team taking advantage of a “rule” that the referee doesn’t have to blow the whistle to restart the game.  It was a lousy way to lose a game and for them to win.  We played our hearts out and that’s how we lost.

Tonight was Thursday TV night and the shows weren’t that great.  I was very unimpressed with all of them.  But, Lost on Wednesday was awesome again!  I’m having a great time this season watching Lost!

Last night was our soccer game and after playing our best game the week earlier, we played what we considered to be our absolute worst game of the year.  We lost 6-1 in a game in which we were never even really in.  If Tracy hadn’t stopped so many shots on goal, we would have lost by 12-15… Something just didn’t work out for us.  We were out of gas, had no energy, and just played bad as a team.

Hopefully, that was a one time thing and we can prove ourselves to be better in the next 2 weeks… our last 2 games of the season.

Over the last couple of days, I’ve spent the workdays learning about virtualization.  I’ve really enjoyed it and the technology really is fascinating.  I’m definitely looking forward to learning more and diving more into the technology as we move forward.

The Office was a re-run tonight, but I did get to watch the American Idol show this evening.  I haven’t been able to watch half the season because of soccer and bowling.  Oh, Lost was AWESOME on Wednesday!

Last night was Soccer night.  As usual, we improved, but not enough to get the win.  We lost 5-2 in a hard fought, good hustle game.  Next week is an early game and we are supposed to have a lot of people come watch us play.  Hopefully we’ll turn that corner and win our first game by putting together a good effort with lots of hustle and good timing on scoring and defense.

I’m so tired this evening… having late nights back to back in the middle of the week slows me down.  Tomorrow is Friday thank goodness!!!

Monday has come and gone.  The hours moved by pretty slowly at work today.  I’m watching The Office episode that ran after the game last night right now as we get ready for bed.  I didn’t get to watch it last night because I missed some of it so I just decided to wait and watch it all at once.

We rented the movie “The Lucky Ones” today at lunch.  I thought it would be a good movie based upon Tim Robbins being in it, but no go.  Boring movie, but still a thousand times better than that Deal movie I told you about a few days ago.  Tomorrow is new movie day, but I don’t know of anything new coming out off hand.

Tomorrow night is bowling night.  It’s the final week of the 2nd season and we need to win 1 game to clinch the 2nd season top spot.  We were snowed out last week so we should be well rested for this one.  Soccer is up for Wednesday also this week.

As a result of staying up extra late watching American Idol and Lost recordings, I woke up this morning thinking it was Friday.  At lunch, I stopped by the Redbox and rented 3 movies.  Walking away, I realized that today was in fact only Thursday.  3 movies on a weeknight doesn’t make a whole lot of sense…  I watched Henry Poole Is Here and we just finished the movie Fireproof.  Henry was ok, worth a buck.  The other movie is The Deal – haven’t watched it.

Fireproof was a really good movie.  We really enjoyed watching it.  We bought the Love Dare book when it first came out but have waited to read it until after we watched the movie.  We are going to buy the Fireproof movie for our collection and to also provide our support for the creators of the movie.

No new Thursday night television, but The Office has a special 1 hour episode after the Super Bowl on Sunday.  YAY!!  Oh yeah, just to get the momentum started, GO ARIZONA!!!! and GO KURT WARNER!!!!

Last night, Lost returned to television and we had to record it because I was gone during the evening.  I haven’t been able to watch it yet…  Tonight was Thursday night tv at our house as usual but I didn’t get to see Earl and Kath & Kim because I was working on some other business.  I did catch The Office however.  Good episode.  I can’t wait to watch Lost!

I haven’t rented any movies so nothing there.  I’m sure I’ll rent them this weekend if they are available at the Redbox because there is no football on this weekend.  Oh, today we had about 60 degree weather.  It was nice!!!

I’m so glad tomorrow is Friday… returning to the 5 day workweeks after the holidays has really made the full week long for me this time around.  My wife and I are doing well as far as inches are concerned on our healthy living even though our pounds aren’t exactly falling off.  Eventually, the pounds will come off too as long as we stay the course.  I’m planning on starting my vitamin regimen and weightlifting Sunday.

Not a lot going on around here… I’m hopefully going to get to rent a few movies over the weekend as there are a few I want to watch.  It’s really cold for all those who aren’t here!  0 degrees this morning…

Tonight was our second soccer game.  This time, we fell behind early to a much better team and couldn’t make it close.  We were shutout but we hustled.  It’s a learning experience that’s for sure.  We haven’t been able to play “soccer” yet, but we hustle and do our best.  We’ll get the idea and some soccer skill as we go, but we’ll take some lumps along the way.  It’s all good fun and great exercise and most of all, a great team building experience.

I’m looking forward to the weekend football games and tomorrow night is the return of some Thursday night television on NBC.  The Office is back!

Earl was a good episode, better than some of the latest ones.  I really liked the scam =)  Kath & Kim wasn’t as funny as it has been but that’s ok… because The Office made everything good.  The Office Christmas show was absolutely hilarious from the first moments all the way until the closeout.  Very entertaining and I’m going to watch it online again just to make sure I caught everything.

I didn’t get to watch ER as I was too tired and I hit the bed (I normally don’t watch it anyway, but since this is the last season, I have been watching more of it than usual).  I had to stay up later than normal last night fixing some broken stuff with my website… there was a major upgrade to what makes it all work and it didn’t like something so I had to fix it.  Tomorrow is FRIDAY!
