surfer_dudeI stopped by the Redbox today trying to use up my last 4 free movie coupons and found 2 that I haven’t seen.  The first movie, Surfer Dude, was one that I hadn’t heard of, but it starred Matthew McConaughey… so I gave it a rent.  After bowling last night, I popped the movie in.  Wow… just wow.

I’m only about 35-40 minutes into at this point and I’m not sure I’m going to finish it because it’s just not good.  I have laughed a couple of times but they aren’t worth the other non-laughing portions of the movie so far.  It’s bad.  So, I went and looked it up at imdb.com and boxofficemojo.com and imdb users gave it a 4.9 out of 10 and boxoffice reports it made something like $50 thousand before leaving the screen…  By the way, it cost $6 million to make.

The other movie is by Jerry Jenkins, one of the writers of the Left Behind series.  I’m looking forward to watching that one tomorrow evening before I have to return them.  They have to be back by 9pm.

As for bowling tonight… We won 5 of the 7 pts but should have won all 7.  I screwed up the last 2 pts by getting a split in the 10th while on 2 strikes and that basically finished us… we lost by 13 pins that game.  We will still be in 1st place going into the last 4 weeks of this season though.  I had 16 strikes with games of 212, 177, and 193.

“Though None Go With Me” it was a Hallmark movie in 2006 and has recently been released on DVD. If you like the Hallmark/Lifetime type movies, you will really like it.

Hey I saw you mentioned the Left Behind series by Tim LeHaye? I know they are trying to build a community of us fans of the series. If you want to join the group we are at http://www.foundthisbook.com
