Dinner and a Movie

wrappingWe had our Christmas Eve dinner with our family at our house tonight.  We decided not to exchange gifts this year and focus more on spending time with each other.  It worked out great!  We had a nice, peaceful evening while we ate and watched a couple of Christmas movies.  I popped in Home Alone and then we watched Elf.  The food was great as always.  A special thanks to my wife for spending so much time planning, cooking, and preparing the meal, everyone sure appreciates your hard work for the family!!!  We missed the family members who couldn’t make it, we wish them a Merry Christmas!

After dinner and some desserts, we watched some of the movie, chatted and caught up with the family, and played with the children.  We had a new addition to the family this year and that’s always special.

My wife and I just finished wrapping up what presents we have for each other and our boys and we’re all excited for Christmas morning.  I sure do wish my parents and sister’s family were near for such special occassions.  It sure makes you appreciate the time you do have together.  I plan on watching The Passion of the Christ tomorrow to put the focus of the day where it needs to be.  Jesus came and died for us to give us everlasting life.  Without our Father in Heaven, nothing is possible.  May everyone have a special Christmas and enjoy the blessings of God in their life.
