FINALLY!  Fox has announced they have cancelled King of the Hill.  The animated comedy is currently in its 13th season and scheduled to go off the air during the 2009-10 season due to already purchased episodes by Fox.

I’ll admit, I watched King of the Hill when it first started, it was one of the first primetime animated shows on television back then.  It was fairly funny and Mike Judge was coming off his monster success of Beavis & Butthead on MTV.  Well, animated shows lose their luster after a while because really, how far can they go?  The Simpsons is another show that should be off the air and I cannot wait to read its cancellation news someday.

I would love to hear The Simpsons is canceled as well as The Family Guy. Both are so inappropriate. My coworker was talking about a Simpson episode that aired a few weeks ago, where Bart had a book in his hand and he noticed that it was the Bible and he threw it down like it was horrible. I can’t remember what exactly she said he said, but it was very sad. Seems like every avenue they can find to steer people clear of Christianity, they will do it.

Most of the animated cartoons on Fox are directed at the young male viewership but we all know cartoons attract children. Now, it is the parent’s responsibility to be in charge of what their children watch but we all know how that goes. The Simpsons have long been at issues with religion and you could write a 1,000 page book on how they have ridiculed and made fun of Christianity through the years. I can’t comment on The Family Guy as I am proud to say that I have never watched more than 5 consecutive seconds of that show.
